Bananas from Ecuador and straight into your smoothie

We have told you before where the bananas we use to make our smoothies come from: Ecuador. Specifically, they are grown, harvested and shipped from the province of Guayas. The country is one of the world’s largest exporters, with very large harvests and high quality bananas.

Did you know that Ecuador produces more than 500 varieties of bananas? We specifically use the Cavendish variety, which is one of the most popular and most loved varieties in the world. When it is perfect for picking, its colour tends to be soft yellow, and its texture is creamy and velvety. That’s why our smoothies are so delicious!

The bananas we use are also known as the ‘dessert banana’ and as well as their special sweetness, what makes them even more special is that they contain around 400 milligrams of potassium per 100 g. As we mentioned before, this nutrient is perfect for recovering the body after a long day, or to kick start it in the best way possible. You decide how and when to enjoy it!
