Mango Paradise smoothie, our most exotic flavour

Mango Paradise smoothie.

Close your eyes, imagine you are on a deserted beach, with fine sand and crystal clear blue waters. Not working? That’s because you need a small taste of it to transport you there. You need a Mango Paradise smoothie, our most exotic flavour.

The best combination of ingredients

At Life Smoothies each piece of fruit is selected to guarantee quality. The fruit is never damaged or too ripe, as it is picked when it is perfectly ripe.

For this smoothie, we wanted a special and exotic flavour that would transport us to paradise, and so we chose three tropical fruits: pineapple, mango and passion fruit.

Pineapple: Pineapple comes from Brazil, where it was found by European colonisers, but today the main producing countries are China, the United States, Brazil, Thailand, the Philippines, Costa Rica and Mexico.

Mango: Mango, however, despite what we may think is native to Asia. Specifically, it is known to have been traded in parts of India, Sri Lanka and the Himalayas since ancient times.

Passion fruit: Commonly known as passion fruit, it is native to Central and South America.

It is precisely the tropical and Ecuadorian origin of all these fruits that transports us to the most heavenly landscapes when we eat them. But if we mix them all together, the result is even better. The softness and freshness of the mango contrasts with the strong flavour of the pineapple and passion fruit. If we also turn them into a smoothie, we will feel like we are on holiday, sipping on summer.

Natural properties, additive-free

But best of all, it is a guilt-free pleasure. Our Life Smoothies are a healthy and recommended treat. Precisely because of the ingredients and the way we make them.

Passion fruit for example, is perfect for recharging your energy levels on a hectic day or in extreme heat. Pineapple is fantastic for when you are on a diet because of its high water and fibre content. Lastly, mango is very rich in nutrients including potassium, magnesium, provitamin A and vitamin C.

So, with all these ingredients we get a smoothie that is only 70 calories, with no saturated or trans fats, and with only 17 grams of sugar that is not added sugar, but naturally present in the fruit.

Of course, in keeping with our philosophy, none of our smoothies contain any colourants or preservatives. And Mango Paradise is no exception.

The yellow colour you get when mixing it with milk, water or yoghurt will give you that typical tropical fruit colour.

It is bursting with nutrients that, thanks to our IQF technology, preserves the fruit from the moment it is picked until it reaches your glass.

Perfectly preserved

Because there’s no point in picking the healthiest and tastiest fruits if they come to you spoiled, that’s why at Life Smoothie we use IGF technology that allows us to preserve the fruit and its nutrients in perfect condition.

We have an ultra-fast freezing system that prevents the product from defrosting during the process. Each piece of fruit takes one or two seconds to reach freezing temperature instead of the several hours it typically takes.

This process guarantees the good condition of the fruit in every aspect. It retains its quality, taste and nutrients.

Easy to prepare

Like our other smoothies, Mango Paradise comes in a sealed pack with the pieces of fruit already selected, washed and cut and in the right proportions for the right flavour.

In fact, it contains the fruit needed to make a smoothie, which has great benefits:

  • For your convenience. There is no need to wash, clean, peel, cut, chop or slice fruit. You just have to open our bag and mix it with a liquid in a blender and that’s it.
  • No waste: each pack of Smoothie Solutions contains just the right amount of quick frozen fruit to make a perfect smoothie.
  • All year round: While fresh fruit is only sold in season, our Life Smoothie bags are available all year round. We pick the fruit at the right time and freeze it quickly so that it is available for the remaining months.

Are you convinced yet? If you would like to taste or distribute our Mango Paradise or any other of our products, please call us at +971 52 392 1761 or send an email to [email protected].

As we grow up, we develop different tastes in food, our palate changes and we start to like foods that we may not have eaten before, and vice versa. When we were kids, we may have liked sweeter flavours, but now we like stronger flavours.

Strawberry – Strawberry Split

This fruit is a classic, and we believe it is a great favourite among children and adults alike. Luckily, we can enjoy it all year round thanks to our IQF system, we pick the strawberries, prepare them and flash freeze them, so they retain their nutritional properties and their flavour.

This smoothie includes strawberries, banana, papaya and cherry; so, if you are a big lover of this fruit… congratulations! You’ve found your perfect smoothie 😊

Banana – Acai Kick

Bananas, the so-called ‘fruit of love’, are also in many of our smoothies. It is a very versatile and thickening fruit, which makes for a fuller smoothie. So, if this is your favourite fruit, one of your perfect smoothie options may very well be our Acai Kick. In this fun smoothie, you’ll also find mango, acai (hence the name) and blueberry, which gives the smoothie its distinct colour.

The Acai Kick is a very filling smoothie that is also very rich in nutrients.

Mango – Mango Paradise

Smoothies with iced tea: a delicious, healthy choice

SMOOTHIES WITH ICED TEA

Imagine combining fruits, vegetables, nuts and all the properties of tea. In this post we would like to tell you about this original idea that you might like to give a go when making your smoothies, also known as smooteas. 😉

At LifeSmoothies we always recommend making smoothies by adding our frozen fruit sachet to the blender together with 250 ml of water or apple juice. Apple juice is perfect to give you that neutral touch and to enjoy all the flavour that our fruits have to offer.

But apart from apple juice, other options that can also be great for the smoothie of your choice are other types of fruit juices, coconut water, vegetable drinks or, as we will talk about, tea. Remember that you can add more or less to play with the texture. This way, you can make it thicker or thinner and add the toppings you want without them sinking.

What teas can you try in your smoothies?

There are teas with very distinctive flavours that you may like more or less. We recommend starting with teas with mild flavours or even fruit flavours, regardless of their properties.

A good choice is white tea, also known as beauty tea, as it has a mild, sweet and floral taste. Its colour is also pale and velvety, and it has become very popular among tea lovers. It is made in a way so that it is minimally processed, so we can enjoy all its benefits whilst also tasting delicious. It is also the variety of tea with the highest antioxidant content, so it’s all good for you!

Continuing with mild flavours, green tea is perhaps the next in terms of subtle flavour. This tea is one of the most popular and is perfect if you’re someone who drinks their smoothie in the morning, as green tea is a great substitute for coffee and to start the day in top form. 😊 It is also very rich in antioxidants, just like our fruits, and lowers the level of bad cholesterol.

For the more daring, red tea is a good option if you’re looking for more intense flavours. It is made using a slow fermentation, which is what makes it a very distinctive tea in terms of aroma, colour and taste. This tea is a great diuretic and helps to burn fat, so it’s also a very healthy combination to keep taking care of yourself with smoothies.

And finally, you can also try our smoothies with different fruit teas. There is now a wide variety of options available. For example, if your favourite smoothie is our Mango Paradise, you can try making it with a mango-flavoured tea, which will enhance its main ingredient. There is also a berry tea that would go perfectly with our Raspberry Love and enhance the flavour of the raspberries and blueberries.

We recommend making the tea in the evening, and when it cools, keep it in the fridge until the next day. This way it will be nice and fresh when it is time to drink it.

With this smoothie idea you’ll still get a refreshing drink that we love so much at this time of the year. They will also help you manage your weight as they provide a lot of antioxidants, which, together with the power of the fruit, will make your smoothie the perfect healthy option to continue taking care of yourself this summer.

Travel through the flavours of our smoothies, discover the destinations

A photo, a book, a dream… There are many things that can help us travel without physically moving. But we cannot forget the intense flavours, those that we enjoy with every sip and that we never want to end, such as our smoothies.

Eating foods that we love is a pleasure for our senses, and if you also feel like you are taking care of yourself, the pleasure multiplies. Our smoothies contain intense, delicious flavours that once you try them you will wish they would never end. They are a journey for the senses. Have you already experienced this?

If you have already tried them, you may agree with the list we will share with you below, because the flavours of our smoothies can also help you travel around the world. Ready to take off!

Mango Paradise will take you to India

As its name suggests, our smoothie will take you to a true paradise full of colours and flavours: India. Mango is one of the main fruits in our smoothie, and nowadays there are many varieties of this fruit around the world, but it originates from Asia.

Even though the rest of the ingredients, such as pineapple and passion fruit, are originally from Brazil, the flavour and colour of our smoothie takes us to this great country. It reminds us of the Akshardham Temple located in the capital, New Delhi, for its orange colour so characteristic of mangoes. The temple is also a symbol of peace, one of the many sensations you will feel when enjoying your Mango Paradise.

Next stop… Puerto Rico with Tropi Colada

Our Tropi Colada smoothie is a super healthy option that can rival the best cocktails you can enjoy in the Caribbean islands. The freshness you will feel when drinking it, and the flavour of pineapple, coconut and banana, will make an incredible contrast that will help cool down its warm tropical climate.

Puerto Rico is an island full of colour and life, but its beaches are perhaps one of its greatest attractions; its crystal-clear waters, its palm trees, and, above all, its fine white sand. It is perhaps this nuance that most reminds us of this dream destination and is perfect to enjoy in summer.

Fly to Brazil with our Acai Kick

Of course, the açai is a berry native to Brazil, rich in nutrients and antioxidants, and is also considered an anti-aging food. So, you will never be too old to travel to Brazil. 😉

The colour of our Acai Kick smoothie reminds us of the wild flora so common in the Amazon, one of the most vibrant regions on the planet. Also, together with the other fruits in this smoothie, which are banana, mango and blueberry, they make this smoothie a real journey; and when you taste it, your senses will remember it forever.

Want to visit Greece? Try our Raspberry Love

Apparently raspberries originated from Greece, and it is one of the main fruits you will find in our Raspberry Love smoothie. You could say that our smoothie is a drink of the gods because of the numerous nutrients in its fruits: blueberry, banana and the above-mentioned raspberry.

The red colour of the raspberries even makes us think of the goddess Aphrodite, goddess of beauty and love, because this fruit is rich in antioxidants and great for your skin. Our Raspberry Love is a temple dedicated to this Greek goddess.

As you can see, you don’t need to leave home to travel around the world. All you need is a good sense of taste, a bit of imagination and an open mind; the flavours of our smoothies will do the rest. 😉

Now that you know a little more about them, discover the perfect smoothie for your summer.

Chromotherapy with your smoothies, experience full colour

Chromotherapy with your smoothies

Have you ever heard of chromotherapy with food? Our smoothies, as well as being delicious and full of nutrients, are a pleasure to look at because they are full of colour and life. So, you can practice some chromotherapy with our smoothies, and it will be another perfectly unique way to take care of yourself.

Chromotherapy is about taking care of yourself by focusing on the pigments that give food some colour, such as in this case fruit and vegetables, because they have a protective function for the body. But also, colours produce in us sensations that help our body and mind, by influencing our mood and feelings.

This technique has been studied in psychology and can be applied in other fields, for example, in marketing, in film and even in decorating spaces, looking for different environments and sensations.

Want to discover what each colour of our smoothies hides? Then read on 😊

Tropi Colada: White or light colours

In general, the colour white is said to bring light, transparency, peace and harmony; but it also brings security and honesty. It is a positive and healthy colour, as there are many foods that are white on the inside or outside and are delicious and rich in potassium and antioxidants.

White is not the absence of colour, but in fact it has about 67 different shades. And although our Tropi Colada smoothie is not completely white, it contains foods such as coconut and banana, which tend to be light foods, so it falls within this colour and its qualities.

The coconut in our Tropi Colada is a fruit with antioxidant properties, regulates blood pressure and is rich in fibre and minerals. The banana also has high nutritional properties, which makes this smoothie a great choice to start taking care of yourself. 😉

Chromotherapy with your smoothies

Green Machine: Green colour

The colour green represents nature and hope, but it is also related to health. Many foods, especially vegetables, are green, and are generally rich in potassium, vitamins and folic acid.

In our case, the Green Machine smoothie, is made with spinach, celery and broccoli, which is what gives it its green colour and makes it a nutritionally super smoothie.

Chromotherapy with your smoothies

Strawberry Split: Red colour

The colour red represents energy, warmth and has a life-giving component, because it is the colour of our blood. Many foods also contain this natural pigment because they are rich in antioxidants and help circulation, memory and play an important role in protecting the skin.

Our Strawberry Split smoothie has this reddish colour due to the strawberries, cherries and papaya in it. Together with banana, they make this smoothie delicious and even addictive. That’s why the colour red is also a symbol of caution, because once you try our smoothie you won’t want to stop drinking it, you’ll love it! 😉

Chromotherapy with your smoothies

Acai Kick and Raspberry Love: Purple colour

This colour is a symbol of elegance and spirituality, as well as luxury. It is related to the world of dreams, imagination and promotes creativity. Eating foods of this colour, such as blueberries, helps anti-ageing, which is perhaps why it is so widely used in children’s food.

Our Acai Kick and Raspberry Love smoothies have such a characteristic colour thanks to this small fruit rich in properties. The height of luxury! 😉

Chromotherapy with your smoothies

Mango Paradise and Caribbean Kiss: Orange and yellow colours

These colours are mainly found in citrus fruits and symbolise fun and energy. Fruits such as mango, melon and pineapple in our smoothies are rich in vitamins and minerals, which will fill you with the strength and energy to start the day right.

Chromotherapy with your smoothies

Now that you know the meaning behind the colours, discover which is your favourite fruit and we’ll tell you the perfect smoothie for you.

Refresh’mint, welcome to our Life Smoothies family

Avolicious, welcome to our Life Smoothies family

We have a new flavour at Life Smoothies! Introducing the newest member of the family that avocado lovers will love. This is our new smoothie that we have called ‘Refresh’mint’ and it completes our range full of delicious flavours.

As you can guess, avocado will be the main ingredient, this unique smoothie combines flavours such as pear, lime, mango and a touch of mint which, as you will see, makes it extra special.

Below, we will describe all its wonderful nutrients and benefits for our body, but we can already tell you that this smoothie will make taking care of yourself a real treat. Take note!

Ingredients and nutritional values of Refresh’mint

Of course, the star ingredient of this smoothie is avocado. It is both a fruit and a vegetable and is known as ‘green butter’ because it has a soft, buttery consistency, which makes it perfect for freezing. As you know, we use the IQF method to freeze our fruit within the first 24 hours of harvesting, which allows all the nutrients, vitamins and minerals to be preserved, without having to add preservatives or colourings.

Avolicious, welcome to our Life Smoothies family

Avocado provides many benefits to the body:

  • It helps our heart: You may have heard that it is a calorific fruit, and perhaps that is why it is not eaten so often. What we should know is that it provides monounsaturated fat and oleic acid, which will keep cholesterol levels at bay; and also blood pressure as it contains a lot of B vitamins. Moderate consumption in the form of a smoothie is the best way to get the necessary nutrients without going overboard.
  • Recommended for athletes and pregnant women: It is a great source of potassium and magnesium, which helps our muscles and bones to function and makes it the perfect food for exercising. It also contains large amounts of folic acid, an essential vitamin for pregnant women.
  • Antioxidant and rich in vitamin E, which helps to prevent cardiovascular and cancerous diseases.
  • Thanks to its high fibre content, it is very good for the digestive system and intestinal health.
  • A perfect partner in the summer. Avocado also protects against the sun as it contains beta-carotene, a pigment that is transformed into vitamin A. This helps to protect our skin from the sun’s radiation, and also activates our melanin and intensifies our tan.

Avolicious, welcome to our Life Smoothies family

What other fruits are in our delicious Refresh’mint?

Pear: A very refreshing fruit, so our smoothie is perfect for hot days or after a workout. It contains a large amount of water, which nutritionally makes it great for weight loss. As well as vitamins, it is also a great source of iron and calcium, ideal for any little ones in the house!

Lime: This touch is very unique, right? The so-called ‘sweet lemon’ will provide acidity without being too bitter. This fruit also contains a lot of vitamins, minerals and fibre, but it also helps our stomach against heartburn and ulcers.

Mango: As you may already know, this fruit is the natural main ingredient of our Mango Paradise. It is rich in nutrients such as potassium, magnesium and vitamins A and C. It will give you that sweet touch, achieving the perfect balance for our Refresh’mint.

Mint: This superfood is widely used in natural medicine, and it’s no wonder. We are very familiar with its aroma, as it is widely used in food, hygiene and beauty products. But eating mint has many benefits: it helps our digestive system, our cardiovascular health, decongestion and is even good for killing the bacteria that cause bad breath. A wonder straight from nature!

As you can see, we could spend hours talking about all the benefits of our new Refresh’mint smoothie, but we think what will really win you over is its delicious taste. So, what are you waiting for?

Stay hydrated during Ramadan with Life Smoothies!

Stay hydrated during Ramadan with Life Smoothies!

On 2 April, the most important month in the Islamic calendar begins: Ramadan. For thirty days many people of the Muslim faith will fast between dawn and dusk.

Ramadan is the commemoration of the first revelation of the Prophet Muhammad and is one of the five pillars of Islam, along with faith, prayer, almsgiving and the pilgrimage to Mecca. This holy month changes according to the Islamic lunar calendar, and the dates for Ramadan in 2022 are between 2 April and 2 May, corresponding to the crescent moon on the ninth month of the traditional Islamic calendar until the next crescent moon.

As we have mentioned, next month Muslims who are fasting will not eat or drink any food or water from sunrise to sunset. This is very demanding and requires a great deal of physical and mental discipline.

It is important to fast properly in order to avoid ailments or possible complications associated with lack of food and fluid intake during daylight hours. They may only eat before sunrise, a meal known as suhur, and at sunset: a feast known as iftar.

Due to the change in our routines and mealtimes, we must adapt our diet so that this fasting does not have an impact on our day-to-day life, reducing our energy and ability to cope with all the activities we have planned.

During the first meal of the day, the main goal is to rehydrate the body and fully energise it, which is why eating fruit is essential. We already talked to you in our post about pineapple and the benefits of this superfruit, but it is worth pointing it out as one of the best options due to its high vitamin C, protein and mineral content. Milk and dairy products are also one of the most recommended products to start the day.

Stay hydrated during Ramadan with Life Smoothies! - Pineapple

As for iftar, the feast we share with our friends to end the day, it is not so different from a meal celebrated outside this holy month. It must include complex carbohydrates such as pasta, potatoes, lentils, oats, rice or quinoa, accompanied by animal or vegetable proteins: fish, chicken, lamb, beef, eggs, chickpeas or tofu, for example. Another key food to fill us up both during Ramadan and for your regular diet is vegetables; broccoli, spinach and carrots all contain a high amount of vitamins that will improve our physical well-being.

Life Smoothies, your greatest ally

Our smoothies have therefore become a must during this celebration, as they combine the benefits of milk, fruit and vegetables in a delicious drink that you can enjoy anywhere and is quick and easy to prepare.

  • Refresh’mint: One of our new additions to the smoothies catalogue: an unbeatable combination of avocado, pear, lime, mint and mango.

Stay hydrated during Ramadan with Life Smoothies! - Refresh’mint

  • Beet the Heat: Just arrived, you can’t miss this blend of beet root, ginger, pineapple and blueberries. Delicious!
  • Green Machine: Our green smoothie: spinach, pineapple, mango, broccoli and celery. Nothing is more on trend than detox smoothies.
  • Mango Paradise: When it comes to hydration, this is the smoothie that comes to mind: mango, pineapple and passion fruit. Want to try it?

And what combination would you add to your meals? Looking forward to reading them 😉

Thanks to this system we can pack the best seasonal fruits from more than 10 different countries and deliver them directly to your home. Isn’t it magical?

This is why we wanted to showcase our fruits and tell you about some of them in this post and the countries they come from. Because the earth offers us so many different varieties of berries, tropical fruits and other more exotic fruits, let’s take you on a trip to get to know them a little better. Off we go!

Let's go on a trip with our smoothies and fruits! Life Smoothies

Our trips begins in Morocco

This country is a great source of fresh organic fruit, exporting more than 200 types of products and growing year after year, bringing its quality and variety of agri-food products to the rest of the world. The strawberries in our Strawberry Split, Caribbean Kiss and in one of our latest additions, our Pink Dragon, come from this great country. The berry family also includes the delicious blueberries as featured in Raspberry Love, Acai Kick and Beet the Heat, another of our great new smoothies.

Vietnam: the most exotic flavours

This wonderful country boasts incredible landscapes, but it is also incredible for its impressive natural flavours: its great variety of fruit that you can find in our smoothies. We would like to highlight the passion fruit of our Mango Paradise, which, thanks to Vietnam’s climate, has become the ideal place to grow it.

But perhaps our favourite is the dragon fruit because this special fruit can be found in another of our great new smoothies: our Pink Dragon. So called because it resembles the scales of a dragon; it is a beautiful fruit, unique and rich in fantastic nutrients. Thanks to the warm climate, Vietnam has become one of the largest producers, and no wonder, because it is becoming one of the most popular fruits thanks to its taste and its beauty inside and out. Isn’t it beautiful?

Let's go on a trip with our smoothies and fruits! Life Smoothies Pink Dragon

We travel to another continent to land in Peru

If you like mangoes, you should know that Peru is a major exporter and is recognised worldwide for its great quality and flavour. Also, thanks to the climate, they are lucky enough to have different varieties, all of which are delicious and full of flavour.

And of course, our Mango Paradise is the star of this trip to Peru, because thanks to this super fruit it is rich in texture and flavour, but it also provides lots of vitamins, minerals, fibre and antioxidants. It is grown, harvested and shipped from the province of Piura, and it is a real delicacy!

From Peru we would also like to highlight the avocado that you will find in our new Refresh’mint. This is the season when production is at its highest for this super fruit, and it is becoming more and more coveted worldwide, not only for its flavour but also because it is a great ingredient in beauty products. And no wonder, because if it is not only good for the inside, but also the outside. We explain all its benefits to you in the blog post about our Refresh’mint smoothie.

Mango: the tropical super fruit in our smoothies

Mango: the tropical super fruit in our smoothies Life Smoothies

This month we welcome summertime, so we want to talk about one of the most refreshing fruits for this time of year: the mango. And of course, the two star smoothies in this new post featuring this super fruit, our Mango Paradise and Caribbean Kiss smoothies.

Any of our fruit smoothies are perfect to accompany you during a day at the beach or pool, because all our fruits are super refreshing and delicious and will help you fight the heat while also being good for you.

Mango: the tropical super fruit in our smoothies Life Smoothies

If you haven’t yet been lucky enough to try our two smoothies, we’re sure that after reading this you’ll want to hydrate yourself with either one of them. We are going to tell you about each of them and all the benefits you get from eating mango. Take note!

Caribbean Kiss, a midsummer night’s dream

You will enjoy a very special combination of flavours because our Caribbean Kiss also contains melon and strawberries. Thanks to the latter, it boasts this beautiful orange shade. But what interests us most are its properties and flavour.

Both strawberries and melons are packed full of water, so they are essential for the hottest days. It is so important to stay hydrated and fill up on the nutrients you need to get a great head start for the day. Both fruits are sweet and delicious, and combined with the mango flavour make this smoothie taste perfect.

The mango in our smoothie helps give it a unique flavour, but also a perfect consistency and keeps you fuller for longer thanks to its natural fibre, which will helps you maintain your figure and avoid snacking between meals.

Mango Paradise, our most exotic flavour

We wanted to take you to paradise from the very first sip and we have done just that. Our smoothie has the best of mango as the name suggests, but also consists of pineapple and passion fruit. These two flavours combine their characteristic intense flavours with the smoothness and freshness of mango.

It is the ideal option if you want to take good care of yourself, because pineapple has a high diuretic power and passion fruit is the energy boost you need on a hot summer’s day. These two fruits combined with the flavour of mango make this smoothie a favourite for many.

Mango: the tropical super fruit in our smoothies Life Smoothies

Mango is the king of tropical fruits

Do you know where the mango in our smoothies comes from? In our previous post on countries of origin we already gave you some clues. The mango we use comes from Peru, specifically it is grown, harvested and shipped from the province of Piura.

They have different varieties thanks to their climate, but the variety we use is called Kent Mango. This variety is distinguished from others by its dark green skin with small red spots. But what is really interesting about this variety is that it contains less fibre in its golden-orange flesh, which makes it perfect for smoothies.

In both our Mango Paradise and Caribbean Kiss smoothies you can enjoy its sweet and delicious flavour. This particular variety has hints of peach, and its texture is juicy and very tender.

It is a fruit rich in nutrients and vitamins, but it is also low in fat, sodium and calories, which means it is perfect to help avoid cardiovascular diseases. These and many others are the benefits that we can get by eating this great fruit. We manage to preserve it all thanks to our IQF system so that everything is kept intact 😉

Mango: the tropical super fruit in our smoothies Life Smoothies

Let’s celebrate the beginning of summer with our Mango Paradise and Caribbean Kiss! We have also put another date on our calendar: World Mango Day, which will be celebrated on 22 July. Are you in?

Nuts: add a handful of nutrients to your smoothie moment

Want to enjoy our tasty smoothies even more? It may not seem possible to make them even more delicious, but there is a way to make their texture and flavour even more incredible. Stick around and we’ll tell you all about it!

The fruit of Life Smoothies and nuts work best together. Why? Well, for several reasons. Nuts enhance the drink, providing fibre and fatty acids, which are essential for good cardiovascular health, and they are known for being very filling, as well as helping to absorb the vitamins in fruit. In turn, the acids in fruit help to absorb the magnesium and calcium in nuts. So this perfect combination is both healthy and delicious, as the difference in texture, as well as the freshness of one and the warmth of the other make a match made in heaven. Here we tell you the best combinations to get the most out of your smoothies, take note!

Mango Paradise: pistachio

Everyone loves pistachios and mangos, so what’s not to like? If you’ve never tried this combination of the two, both sweet and savoury, you don’t know what you’re missing… These two ingredients complement each other perfectly, creating a sweet yet salty taste, both crunchy and smooth. Their textures, so different, create a delicious morsel that is hard to forget. As soon as you try it, you’ll be thanking us for it! They are also a nut full of nutrients with a host of benefits.

Life Smoothies Nuts: add a handful of nutrients to your smoothie moment

Green machine: walnuts

Walnuts are a nut that easily goes with any fruit or vegetable, but if we had to choose one of our smoothies, we think the perfect partner is Green Machine. This is a very healthy smoothie with lots of vegetables (spinach, broccoli, celery) and fruits (banana, mango and pineapple) that create a perfect balance due to the great amount of vitamins and antioxidants in all of them. That’s why we think walnuts are the ideal addition, as all the ingredients blend perfectly together. Walnuts also boast endless health benefits, known throughout the world and considered to be the best nut:

  • They contain many plant-based omega-3 fatty acids.
  • They provide energy, fibre and are very filling.
  • They have magnesium, potassium, antioxidants such as vitamin E, B6 and minerals that enhance the formation of proteins, such as zinc.

Life Smoothies Nuts: add a handful of nutrients to your smoothie moment

Finally, we recommend adding chia seeds and letting them sit for a while, so they will absorb the nutrients from the fruit, as well as being very filling.

Strawberry Split: hazelnuts

Here is another winning combination. Although less common, we assure you that adding hazelnuts to your Strawberry Split will make it a unique experience. The intense, sweet and toasted flavour of the hazelnuts blends perfectly with the distinctive juicy and buttery texture of the star fruit of this smoothie, the strawberries, with a taste that swings between sour and very sweet. The benefits of one of the world’s most popular nuts include:

  • It is one of the best plant-based sources of calcium.
  • It contains many antioxidants, especially vitamin E.
  • It is a source of minerals such as calcium, phosphorus and magnesium.

Try it, you won’t regret it!
